These terms cover your use of VillageTix as either an event organiser or a ticket buyer. By using the service you agree to them.
The service
VillageTix is a ticketing platform. Organisers create events and sell tickets; buyers purchase tickets to attend. Payments are processed by Stripe and paid out directly to the organiser.
For organisers
- You are the seller of record and the data controller for buyer data on your events.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of your event content, refunds, and attendee conduct.
- VillageTix charges £0.40 per paid ticket. Free events are free to list.
- You must comply with UK consumer law, GDPR/DUAA, and your organiser obligations.
For buyers
- Tickets are sold by the event organiser, not VillageTix.
- Refunds, cancellations, and event changes are handled by the organiser. Contact them first.
- Tickets are personal and may not be resold for profit.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to sell illegal goods, infringe rights, run scams, or attempt to disrupt the platform. We may suspend accounts that breach this.
Liability
VillageTix provides the platform "as is". To the extent allowed by law, we limit our liability to the fees you've paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing excludes liability that can't be excluded under UK law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the product. Continued use after the change counts as acceptance.
